Doesn’t time fly!
Wow, it’s been a while since I last posted an entry – is that how blogging works or am I supposed to do it every day
. Maybe it’s all the Olympics watching that’s been going on!
Anyhows, I was looking for some quality criteria in Testing…
… and remembered there was the ISO 25000 standard introduced a while ago specifically for this. However, in a time of open source & collaboration this ISO standard actually has to be paid for (CHF 138,00 – however much that is). So I think I’m going to turn to its predecessor ISO 9126 which is free and documented on wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ISO_9126).
It is this page that enthused me to write this post. The page proudly declares that it’s part of the “Software Testing portal”. Which when clicked on leads you to the following link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portal:Software_Testing
This looks like a great resource for Testers new and old. I think it’s worth a good dig around. It really shows that there’s a number of people out there who are proud to be Software Tester. This is something that makes me smile!
And before you say it… yes I also spotted that this page lists some “Software quality traits” so I’m going to look into those also.
